The Project for Improvement of the Meteorological RadarSystem: Inauguration of the Doppler Radar Weather Observation Station Trou aux Cerfs

Inauguration of the Doppler Radar Weather Observation Station was held on 3 April at Trou aux Cerf. This station was built with Official Development Assistance of Japanese government (1,34 billion Japanese yen). Hon Pravind Kumar JUGNAUTH, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Hon Etienne SINATAMBOU, Minister of Social Security, National Solidarity, and Environment and Sustainable Development, Mr KITA Managing Officer, Director of International Division, Shimizu Corporation, Mr UMEMOTO Representative of JICA Madagascar, as well as H.E Kato, Ambassador of Japan to gave opening statements.
Lots of government people, Diplomatic corps and the local public attended this inauguration. Also, MBC broadcasted it live on television. After address, Hon Pravind Kumar JUGNAUTH visited the tower site.
