JKA Mauritius 1st Ambassador’s International Cup (November 24, 2018)

JKA Mauritius 1st Ambassador’s International Cup, was the first international tournament of karate organized by JKA Mauritius with the partnership of the Embassy of Japan in Mauritius. This tournament was held on the 24th of November 2018 as from 12h30 at the Gymnasium of Ecole Du Centre, Les Allées d’Helvétia, Moka.
The tournament had about 200 participants, boys and girls, with participants from Madagascar and Reunion. The categories of competition were comprised of kata and kumite.
There participated the Chief Instructor Shihan, Koichiro Okuma, 6th Dan who is the Vice-President of Foreign affairs of the JKA/World Federation in Tokyo. During his stay in Mauritius, he paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador Kato at the Embassy of Japan. Shihan Okuma also conducted masterclasses and supervised training in Mauritius and in Reunion Island.
Winners of all the categories were awarded medals, which were conferred by the Ambassador Kato.
