The projects were funded by the Government of Japan.
In his address, the Ambassador stressed that Mauritius has a good health care system, however, as the country has the vulnerability as a small island state, Japan continues to contribute in their health sector.
In this ceremony, the autoclave which has been installed to the hospital to address the problem of hazardous healthcare wastes was launched. Also the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), which was introduced in October 2021, has been extended to improve health services both in promptness and efficiency in Mauritius.
