Handing Over Ceremony of GGP/KUSANONE: “The Project for Procurement of Bus to Provide Learning and Food Support in the Midwestern Mauritius”

　　　　
　　　　

On 8 May 2023, the handing over ceremony of the grant contract for the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the main office of NGO, Ti Rayons Soleil, in Vacoas in the presence of Ambassador KAWAGUCHI, Mrs. SÉRIÈS, President of Ti Rayons Soleil, representative from Toyota Mauritius and other members from the Embassy of Japan in Mauritius and the NGO.
 
Ti Rayons Soleil runs three pre-primary schools and offers after school programs to children age between 6 and 13 in the Midwestern Mauritius.
 
With the grant of 24,273 euros (approximately 1.1 million rupees), the project equipped Ti Rayons Soleil with one 15 seater bus. Upon completion of the project, the NGO will be able to not only provide the beneficiaries with safe transportation but also continue food distribution support to children and their families in need.
