Participation in the 1st Ministerial Conference on Drug Trafficking and Substance abuse in the Western Indian Ocean

On 25 April, Ambassador Kan participated in the 1st Ministerial Conference on Drug Trafficking and Substance Abuse in the Western Indian Ocean, co-hosted by the Government of Mauritius and Indian Ocean Commission(IOC). Ambassador expressed Japan’s will to continue to work closely with the international organizations including UNODC and collaborate with the partner countries, to strengthen drug control measures, to continue enhancement of capacity-building efforts and support alternative, social and health development measures.
