Signing of Condolence Book at U.S. Embassy

On January 6, Ambassador KAN signed a Condolence Book at the U.S. Embassy in Port Louis, extending deepest condolences to his bereaved family as well as to the Government and the people of the United States of America for the passing of the 39th U.S. President, Jimmy Carter, with a message, "I was deeply saddened by the passing of the 39th U.S. President, Jimmy Carter. On behalf of the Government and the people of Japan, and on my behalf, I offer our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family, as well as to the Government and the people of the United States of America. May his legacy live on, may his soul rest in eternal peace.”
