Courtesy call on the Honourable Mr. Ameer Meea, the Minister of Industry, SMEs and Cooperatives of Mauritius

On April 10, Ambassador KAN paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Mr. Ameer Meea, Minister of Industry, SMEs and Cooperatives of Mauritius.  They exchanged a wide range of views, pointing out that Mauritius has advanced through industrialization, particularly in the textile sector, and is increasingly recognized for its potential as a gateway for investment in Africa. They also agreed that the NPCC (National Productivity and Competitiveness Council) under the Ministry's jurisdiction is contributing to the industrial growth of Africa through the promotion of Japan's "Kaizen" activities. Both parties affirmed their commitment to continue close cooperation between Japan and Mauritius in the future.
