Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for 2026 (Undergraduate Student & Specialized Training College Students)

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarship programmes to Mauritian Citizens who wish to study in Japan as Undergraduate Student & Specialized Training College Students.

■Submission of the application
Please send the complete set of application documents by registered mail to:

The deadline for application documents to be submitted to the Embassy is by Friday, 13 June 2025.
Delivery by hand or Email is not acceptable.
 
*Only successful candidate will be contacted and invited for examinations at the Embassy of Japan in Mauritius (end of June/early July).
 
■Important Notes
・Submitted documents will not be returned.
 
・A copy of the graduation certificate or the degree certificate is acceptable if the copy is attested by an authorized official. (Do not submit the originals if you do not have any other copy, as the submitted documents will not be returned.)
 
・The forms must be fully filled as directed in the Guidelines. Incomplete application will not be accepted.
 
・NON-MAURITIAN CITIZENS: Non-Mauritian citizens who send their applications to the Embassy in Mauritius will not be accepted. You must contact the Embassy of Japan of the country in which you hold citizenship for information on how to apply.
