Courtesy call on Mr Seeballuck, Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service

On July 7, Ambassador KAN paid a courtesy call on Mr Seeballuck, Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service. They exchanged a wide range of views regarding strengthening of the relationship and cooperation between Japan and Mauritius. This included cooperation in the area of maritime security, economic exchanges between the two countries as well as cultural and human exchanges.
Furthermore, they confirmed that bilateral relations are set to become more active due to Mauritius's participation in the Osaka-Kansai Expo and the progress in opening the Mauritius embassy in Tokyo and preparing for TICAD9. They agreed to continue their cooperation in the future.
