Courtesy call to the Honourable Ashok Kumar SUBRON, the Minister of Social Integration, Social Security, and National Solidarity

On March 13, Ambassador KAN paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Ashok Kumar SUBRON, the Minister of Social Integration, Social Security, and National Solidarity. Ambassador KAN and Honourable SUBRON　exchanged views on a wide range of areas, including social security. They reached a consensus that providing support for vulnerable people—such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and disaster victims—as well as for local communities and NGOs, will improve people's quality of life and lead to the overall upliftment of society. Furthermore, they agreed to continue discussions on how to promote grassroots assistance and human resource exchanges between Japan and Mauritius in these fields.
