National Ju-Jitsu Championship 2026

On April 12, 2026, the Ambassador of Japan in Mauritius, H.E. KAN Masahiro attended the National Ju-Jitsu Championship 2026 held at the National Sports Complex of Beau-Bassin. This event was organized by the Mauritius Ju-Jitsu Federation (MJJF).
His Excellency KAN Masahiro made a short speech, commending the MJJF for the recent progress of the Ju-jitsu in Mauritius and abroad, as the practitioners of the martial art. In his adress, he also reminded the audience of the values of leverage, technique and respect, inherent to Ju-jitsu.
The Ambassador of Japan also met and congratulated Mr. Adil Dookee, bronze medalist at the 2025 World Ju-jitsu Championship and current champion for the African continent.
The competition featured matches in male and female categories, with various age subcategories performances of the young participants as from under 10 years old up to adult categories.
