Attendance to the Blood Donation and Drug Awareness Campaign

On 6th September 2026, Mr. KAN Masahiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Mauritius, attended the “Blood Donation and Drug Awareness Campaign”, jointly organized by the Humanitarian Education and Liberation Project(HELP),the Blood Donors Association, and the Shotokan Martial Art Federation(SMAF).The campaign highlighted the importance of building a healthier and safer society through drug abuse prevention awareness, blood donation, and Shotokan Karate.
 
In his remarks, Ambassador Kan emphasized that drug awareness to protect the healthy future of young people, blood donation to help save lives, and karate, which fosters discipline, patience, respect and self-control, all share a common spirit of “people caring for people.” He also highlighted the importance of cooperation in building a better future for local communities.
 
Through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project(GGP) in FY2023,Japan provided a vehicle to HELP to support the organization’s activities.
